There is A LOT going on inside this radio. I didn’t know what to expect upon opening. The birds-eye photo we can see a bunch of tubes plugged in with various other things like the speaker, a lightbulb, broken strings (in the bottom photo) that used to activate the dial when a knob was turned. There are various wires on top, but looking underneath HOLY MOLY. An absolute mess of soldiering between resistors and capacitors! I want to figure out how the strings portion worked (even-though the knob won’t be making anything happen. It would still be neat to have it active as a fun tactile function. Well, here goes into snipping and removing what won’t be used.
